Support & Transparency

The Ancillary Review is currently not a paying market, and our upkeep on the web is paid for out of the pockets of our volunteer editorial collective. (Read more on the About ARB page.)

ARB is and will remain free, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t cost anything, and it doesn’t mean it’s not worth something. We are working to build funding to cover our minimal operating costs, and then begin paying our writers—even if it’s just a small honorarium. Please consider supporting us!

How Can You Support ARB?

Donate to our Ko-Fi! Seriously, small donations add up. If you can afford to throw us just a couple bucks—or commit to a couple bucks a month—it will go a long way towards keeping us going and paying our writers.

Buy books through our BookShop! We get a percentage of sales on every book sold through our BookShop—our reviews and essays have BookShop links to their works discussed where possible, too.

Follow & Share on Social Media! We’re mostly on Twitter, a little bit on Facebook, and we’d love to engage with more fans, scholars, writers, and readers.
